Hauke Holm has been intensively involved with a wide variety of developments and variants in the Public Mobile Radio (PMR) sector for over 20 years - first with Tetra, before moving on to DMR and then LTE. As a student at the technical university of Flensburg between 1994 and 1998 he had already developed his passion - a passion he still maintains today - for PMR technology and the opportunities it presents.

After graduating as "Diplom Ingenieur" (engineer) he began his career by heading the Mobile Communications Competence Center at the Flensburg Technical University, before, in 2000, setting up fjord-e-design, together with two associates. As a supplier of protocol metrology (such as the 8150 RF Analyser) the new company quickly became established on the PMR market. The business grew and soon developed a portfolio of measuring instruments and protocol stack services for terminals and bases.

Hytera has put its faith in fjord-e-design's technology since 2007 - its TETRA portfolio is based exclusively on fjord-e-design technology - and since that time Hytera terminals have been increasing in popularity on the market. The growing trust brought about this successful collaboration resulted in the 2013 merger between fjord-e-design and Hytera Mobilfunk, where today Hauke Holm heads the R&D and Product Management Divisions as CTO.
